The Spam Activity Indicator function of Truecaller seems to be a phased launch, as not all users have yet received it.
Truecaller has launched a new feature for Android users called the Spam Activity Indicator. This includes accurate information about a spammer while clicking in the Truecaller app on the caller's profile. Although the free search number and spammer data are also available on the official website. In its latest update the IOS app gets three new bits of information including spam alerts, call frequency, and peak calling hours. The Spam Activity Indicator is built to draw on the core proposition of Truecaller to provide a safer and more effective form of communication.
The Spam Activity Indicator is intended to encourage Android users of Truecaller to make an informed choice, before picking up their mobile. The app reveals three key patterns with the update-Spam Reports, Call Frequency, and Peak Calling Hours. Spam Statistics indicate how many times Truecaller users have labeled a certain number as spam. When the number has increased or decreased, a percentage is displayed in the Spam Reports column.
Call Activity shows how many calls a suspected caller previously made, giving the user an idea about whether or not to trust the caller. As the name suggests, the peak calling times feature shows when the spam caller is most active.
Truecaller reports that although these stats are presently available in the app after tapping on the profile picture of the spammer, a future update will allow these statistics to display in the Caller ID, so that users can make a more informed choice. This feature will allow users to get all the info straight on the call screen about a suspected spam caller, allowing them to reject or ignore the call.
The Spam Activity Indicator feature is live on Android's Truecaller app, but it appears to be a staged rollout as not all devices that have checked happen to have that feature.
