WhatsApp's new update to bring new icons, UI improvements, advanced search and more

WhatsApp continues to amaze us with its swift improvements and features. Often you get a completely new separate feature and the chat company also just changes an existing feature to make it more user-friendly. There are many chat apps leading the messaging app market but with its minimal interface, WhatsApp enjoys one of the largest user base that is easy to understand, keeps updating itself and, of course, the fact that it's free.

We already know that the Facebook-owned chat app has added animated stickers and QR codes to iOS, Dark Web and Windows mode, enhanced video calls, and status disappearing feature for KaiOS users, and now there are some more updates on their way to you. Consider that some of these changes may be under beta testing while others may have already reached your phone.

Advanced Search: Now it will become easier to search for some specific conversation on WhatsApp. The chat app had launched a beta preview of its advanced search feature for iOS earlier this month and now it's coming to more users. Now the feature is coming to beta testers for Android. In the global search selection the advanced search was introduced. It essentially lets you search for a particular message form such as GIF, text , image, documents, and audio. Once this feature rolls out globally, everybody will be able to easily and quickly search for any particular chat.

Rooms: India Today Tech was the first to notice the Rooms integration for iOS on the WhatsApp and now the feature has been rolled out to Android beta users as well. The shortcut to the Messenger Rooms can be seen in the app along with other shortcut icons such as camera, document, gallery, audio and location. Rooms are the responses from WhatsApp to video conferencing applications such as Zoom and Google Meet. The app lets you up to 50 participants video call with friends on Facebook.

Animated Android Sticker: WhatsApp has rolled out the animated sticker functionality for its iOS users, but Android users too should expect it early. Those stickers are animated as the name implies. That will make whatsApp chat more fun.

QR codes for Android: iOS users have received QR code support and it could be expected to be coming to Android soon. This feature will allow you to share your QR code, rather than the phone numbers. Simply scan a QR code to add a new touch, rather than going through the trouble of typing out the numbers.
