Google adds Covid-19 pandemic related travel planning features

Google has already launched a series of updates to help people with extensive closures and travel disturbance caused by COVID-19. Now that more cities and states start to open, the company is updating its search to help find details about destinations and reopenings.
The update also displays hotel and flight searches the percentage of locally run hotels with rooms and flights currently operating. Google trips also provide surface information on the number of cases of COVID-19 at destinations. And users can filter hotel search results using versatile cancelation policies.

Information on travel advisories and other restrictions relevant to COVID 19 will also be published by Google. The updates will be released next week and will be seen in the Google search results and on the Google Trips page.
