We can now use Zoom on smart display devices from Google, Facebook and Amazon

Zoom Meeting users can expand the integrated calendar and HD video and audio for Zoom Meetings on smart displays. Zoom for Home-the personal home office solution for video meetings, phone calls, interactive whiteboarding-will be available on a variety of smart displays to broaden capabilities for the work environment. It will be available on Facebook's Platform in September, and smart assistant-enabled gadgets like Amazon Echo Show and Google Nest Hub Max, by the end of the year.

"We 're excited to introduce Zoom to these notable devices. It's more obvious than ever that people are searching for easy-to-use displays for both technical and personal video communication needs," says Oded Gal, Zoom's Chief Product Officer.

Through adding Zoom to these devices, according to Zoom Video Communications, users would be able to quickly communicate with friends, family, and now, colleagues, allowing them to work smarter, create better relationships, and meet face-to - face through video interactions. Zoom Meeting users will be able to add integrated calendar and HD video and audio to Zoom Meetings on the smart displays as part of Zoom for Home.

"It's more important than ever to provide functionality like these to help people stay connected to their friends , family and colleagues. We look further in launching Zoom on Echo Show and giving Alexa's customers another great video calling choice," says Brian Oliver, Alexa Communication Director.

For smart displays Zoom for Home will be optimized. On Portal the smart camera will automatically take care of framing with colleagues and family for immersive video calls. Portal zoom will be available in the future on Portal Mini, Portal and Portal+ with support to Portal TV. Alexa customers from select Echo Show devices will be able to join Zoom video conferencing. With Zoom on Echo Show, customers can access high-quality meeting experiences by simply saying, "Alexa, join my Zoom Meeting." And, if linked to the calendar in the Alexa app, Alexa will automatically start your planned meeting completely hands-free without you needing to know your meeting ID or passcode.

Zoom will roll out to Amazon's Echo Show devices in the United States later this year, beginning with Echo Show 8. Zoom on Google Nest Hub Max can expand onto the platform the capabilities of high quality native Zoom video meetings. Fully integrated with Google Calendar and Google Assistant, users will be able to enjoy hands-free controls with commands like "Hey Google, attend my next meeting." Zoom is expected to launch on Smart Displays available by the end of the year, including Nest Hub Max.

Zoom for Home was announced in July this year, and emerged as one of the most successful meeting platforms. The idea was to allow a dedicated personal collaboration device to be distributed for video meetings, phonecalls and interactive whiteboarding. This category merged updates to the Zoom app with compatible hardware to improve the home office experience.
